FAQs
What are our prices?
We charge $50 per hour, which includes the expertise of a professional sound engineer. Mixing and mastering are done within the time you’ve booked, so once your session ends, we won’t continue working on the song. Depending on the number of vocal layers, the time it takes to mix a song can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
How much time should I book per song?
It all depends on the number of vocal layers and the genre of music. If the artist doesn’t want highlights or ad-libs and can record the entire song in one take, it could take as little as 30 minutes. However, if you’re an R&B singer with five vocal layers and require multiple retakes, it could take up to four hours. Booking two hours per song is a safe estimate.
Do we make beats?
We don't offer that service. We specialize solely in vocal engineering.
Do we mix stems?
Yes, we do! However, our capabilities depend on the quality of the original recording. If you recorded with a great microphone, audio interface, and DAW, we can work with that. But if the recording was done on a phone, we wouldn’t be able to achieve radio-quality results.
Can I smoke inside the building?
No, unfortunately not. We're located next to a gun shop, and it's a federal crime.
Can I extend or cut my time short?
No, we can only provide the services scheduled for your session. In the music industry, many people book last minute due to a burst of creativity, so someone else will likely be scheduled right after you. Ending your session early leads to a loss of revenue, as we could have scheduled another client in that slot.
Can I walk in?
No, we apologize, but we operate by appointment only and have a strict schedule, so we cannot accommodate walk-ins at any time.
Can I pay cash when I arrive?
No. This policy is in place due to the high number of last-minute cancellations and no-shows for studio sessions.
